Trick-or-Treat

Colin and Emma had a blast going Trick-or-Treat tonight, even if they didn't really want their pictures taken! Despite two houses having lights on but not opening the door when we knocked, the kids still loved every minute of it and got lots of candy at the other houses that did open their doors.

Lil' Kickers - Lesson 3

Colin wasn't feeling the best today, but he really wanted to go to soccer. It was picture day and he was getting a new train if he made it for the whole lesson without tears. He did awesome! He had a great time, there were no tears and he even enjoyed getting his picture taken! He also loved getting his notebook stamped this week!

Emma had a great time playing with Colin before the lesson started, but as soon as it started she was sad because she wanted to "play with her Colin". It was so cute!

Matthew's Birthday Party

Colin and Emma were excited to get an invitation to go to Matthew's birthday party! Matthew always comes to their parties, but doesn't normally have one that we can go to every year. Colin and Emma both love playing with Matthew and his older brother Jacob, oh and the both really love Patrick (Matt and Jacob's dad)! We had a great time at the party and hope that Matthew had fun as well!

Lil' Kickers - Lesson 2

All was going great at our second lesson, we had our notebook to get our stamp in and Colin was having a blast. Then all of the sudden out of nowhere he comes running over to me crying . . . sigh. I ask him what is wrong and through all of the tears and mumbling I finally get that he has a splinter in his finger. Now how he has managed to do this I am not sure, it is on the inside of his ring finger next to his middle finger, so it is beyond me how this actually happened! But we get him a band-aid and I hope that this will help him feel better since there is no way he is going to let me look at it let alone try and pull it out. (He has huge fears of splinters after getting one in his foot in Pennsylvania, we are still working on it though.) He finishes the lesson teary eyed, but finishes and he has a small fit about getting the stamp in his notebook, but reluctantly does it anyway. His issue with the stamp this week is that it is a ladybug and he doesn't want a lady bug! I just can't win with this kid!!

Colin's trip to the zoo

Colin went to the zoo, again thanks to free tickets from mom2mom, on October 4th so we could see Spongebob!!! Luckily we got to see Spongebob before there was a large crowd. When we waited the line took about 5 minutes when we saw him later in the day the line was at least a 20 minute wait for your chance to get your picture taken with him!

We did see a few animals while we were there, but Colin wasn't really that interested in them, he wanted to ride the trikes, carousel and train that he saw. He also got to ride a camel while we were there!
